Twitter launches version for Android tablets, but only in a model - Tecnoblog (Blog)

Just yesterday we were talking here in TB on Skype 4.4, which won an interface optimized for use on tablets. Today, it was time to announce something like Twitter, but for those that run Android. Users of this operating system have won a version of the app designed for your big screen – I mean, if the tablet is a Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), which arrives today at U.S. retailers.

At least for now, the new version is available only for this model. Twitter did not explain the reasons in the post announcing the news.

This is the new interface:

She enjoys the horizontal position of the screen to show the right side of the preview images, videos and links, similar to what happens when you expand a tweet in the web version. Playing on the expanded portion again, it opens the contents on full screen.

In addition, owners of Galaxy Note 10.1 receiving this update are some more perks, courtesy of a partnership between Samsung with Twitter.

They can use Twitter on half the screen and keep another app open on the other half, for example, the browser; insert a widget on the home screen that, besides showing tweets, photos and videos, also displays relevant news for each user according to their geographical location, and making doodles on photos before upload them on the social network, which is a more advanced edition (and with more potential to be massively adopted) than Twitter currently allows that to the application of filters and photo cut.

It is doubtful whether these features are also available for other Android tablets when the new version to get them, the forecast is “to the end of the year.” Before we get to all that run this system, other Samsung models will receive the update.
