Biometric System for Android coming soon

São Paulo, 09 (AE) – One of the biggest news of the new iPhone 5S Touch ID was a biometrics system located on the smartphone Home button that allows the user to access the phone only with your fingerprint, a big step ahead of the competition.
However, on Friday, 04, a partnership of 48 companies, FIDO Alliance, announced the American newspaper “USA Today” that a similar system to hit the market for smartphones running the Android platform in the next six months.
“We want consumers to have access to mobile services easily, while maintaining security,” the publication said Michael Barrett, president of the partnership, spearheaded by manufacturer Lenovo and the PayPal
The company’s goal is to reduce and if possible eliminate the use of passwords to access accounts on mobile devices, and, therefore, tries to convince manufacturers and online companies to establish a consensus on rules and endorsements for consumers to use system so universal.
Although invited, Apple did not want to join the cause, but in view of Barrett, the Touch ID could easily be incorporated into your system.
