Knox acts like one second smartphone, working independently, within the main unit. A great idea from Samsung, as it can leave sensitive data out of danger, even if the smartphone is lost or stolen.
Besides Knox, the version of Touch Wiz 4.3 for Android brought some improvements to the Galaxy S4, greater fluidity in the system as a new tool in the reading device, which considerably reduces the screen brightness in pre-configured applications, greatly facilitating the reading of texts. The unit also received more tools settings, such as enabling the lock screen using the View Smart Cover, some widgets, like the lantern were changed (for the better), among other changes.
During the period in which we tested the S4 Galaxy with Android 4.3, we noticed a problem with the battery consumption of the device, which greatly increased, besides a problem with the Wi-Fi that disconnected many times during the day, but it turned out that this was a feature added by Samsung, where the device checks the stability of the Internet connection on Wi-Fi connected and disconnected every time you think that the connection is not good enough.
This is quite cumbersome, since most of the time we look at the device, the wireless network was disconnected and the Galaxy S4 was consuming mobile data network. Discovered the tool, we disable the function and the unit stopped disconnect the wireless and everything returned to normal.
Today, 13/10, we had access to another test version of Android 4.3 for the Samsung Galaxy S4. According to the site SamMobile, this version is the definitive and should not receive more modifications besides the bug fixes and some tweaks. So, this has probably the final version of Android 4.3 for the Galaxy S4, which should be launched officially in two weeks.
