With the introduction of the Touch ID iPhone 5S , Apple managed to deliver a technology integrated fingerprint authentication that outshines many clumsy attempts seen in previous consumer devices. However, it depends on a group of companies (Alliance FIDO) owners with Android smartphones can use the same technology in 2014.
The group’s president, Michael Barrett says onsumidores can expect the first wave of Android devices equipped with FIDO sensor digital early next year. But the plans, seundo Barret, go far beyond the biometrics (and Android). The goal is to develop an open standard and ubiquitous that offers a wide variety of authentication methods with maximum security.
