Archos: four models of low cost Android smartphones

After a first series, Archos introduces new smartphones. The range “Titanium” consists of four models, ranging from 99.9 to 159.99 euros, depending on the screen size. With these low cost smartphones, the French company can reach different audiences.

Founded in 1988, Archos illustrated in high technology and, in particular, bringing innovations in tablets and digital MP3 players. Recently, the French company wanted to benefit from his knowledge of Android and the arrival of Free Mobile to develop a range of smartphones.

This spring Archos launched the first range of smartphones, Platinum, for the low cost range. Without giving any figures, the manufacturer said he was happy with the reception of these models.
Today, Archos goes further and is positioned in a new market segment, the entry level.
In fact, French manufacturer offers the range Titanium, consisting of four models.
For developing, Archos approached the Chinese manufacturer MediaTek. These smartphones are equipped with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, an internal memory of 4 GB, 512 MB RAM, expandable via micro SD as well as access to 15 GB on Google Drive.
Plus they are equipped with a rear 5 megapixel sensor High resolution, GPS and two SIM card slots.
With Android 4.2.2, the smartphone Titanium distinguished by their screens.
The model “40 Titanium “(99.99 €) has a 4-inch screen, a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The screen “Titanium 45″ (€ 129.99) is 4.5 inches and 854 x 480 pixels. The Archos “Titanium 50″ (€ 149.99) has a 5-inch screen and a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, while the model of “Titanium 53″ (€ 159.99), has a 5.3 inch screen and resolution of 854 x 480 pixels.

Smartphones Archos 40 and 45 Titanium are marketed in France this month, while the other two are expected in November.
With this new range smartphones Archos offers simple and low cost, which can attract different audiences.
