Android 4.4 KitKat has no official release date. However, that day may be approaching, due to huge amount of pictures and even videos of the new leaked version of Google’s mobile operating system.

The newest screenshots that were released on the internet show the easter egg version 4.4 which is hidden in the options menu of the device and refer to the sweet appointing the new OS edition.

However, you can also see the inscription “Android Key Lime Pie” at the bottom of the screen, indicating that this is a very preliminary version of the new OS. “Key Lime Pie” was the name most speculated to the new version of Android, but was dropped in favor of a partnership with Nestlé.

Another image was also revealed by pressing your finger over the red image, a mosaic very colorful and full of references to all versions of Android, such as Cupcake, Donuts, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean and KitKat.

According to rumors, the new version of Google’s mobile OS is expected to arrive on October 31, along with the Nexus 5.
