App brings video conferencing to WhatsApp on Android; know how to use – Tecmundo

The company Rounds, responsible for launching the Booyah app for iOS, now announced the arrival of the service also to Android. The tool allows you to do something for WhatsApp that the very messenger does not allow: video conferencing

The application works with a few taps on the screen and has the advantage of the technology is cross-platform – ie. users with Booyah and WhatsApp for Android can chat seamlessly with each other or iOS friends.

As the idea is to facilitate the process, the Booyah does not ask for login, registration, waiting list or any activity additional user. If you do not have installed WhatsApp, you can connect it with other platforms such as Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Snapchat and more.

Conversations can be made individually or whole groups of WhatsApp up to 12 people. The technology behind the Booyah is an Rounds of proprietary API that provides the function with a simple and intuitive design, plus insurance. The app does not collect personal information involved in the call.



1. Installation

Click here to install the Booyah from Google Play on your Android device.



2. Starting a conversation

Open Booyah after installation and, if you have WhatsApp, it opens already bound the messenger. Click “Start Now” and then “Add Friends to Chat This”.



3. Calling friends

Click the group or contact you want to start a conversation. You can call up to 12 people. Each contact will receive a link that directs the conversation window. If they do not have the app installed, the final address is that of the Google Play tool page.



4. Talk!

as your friends click on the link, they are directed in time for the chat window. The miniature of their front camera image appears on the screen bottom right corner of your smartphone. Ready! Now, you can make video calls on your Android using an app like “companion” WhatsApp.
