Facebook announces new look in Messenger for Android – Digital Look

Who uses Facebook Messenger will notice a difference in the application layout in the coming days. The app has been redesigned to suit the new visual language of Android, the “Material Design”, and the new look should be released from Monday, 7, on the Google platform.

David Marcus , vice president of messaging products on Facebook, says the change to the new look was quite awaited by Android users since Google implemented its new visual language with Android 5.0 (Lollipop), launched at the end of 2014.

“Any major redesign of a critical application used by hundreds of millions of people around the world is painstakingly difficult, and that’s why we take every precaution so that you really enjoy this development.
