Android Pay lands in the UK – Portal Technology

the year 2016 will mark the big push of Android Pay worldwide. After last year making his debut in the United States will soon be available in Australia, but in the coming months will come to the UK.

Google is finalizing agreements with payment networks, banks and other financial entities of the Kingdom of his Majesty so that users can pay using only your Android device.

Banks

Android pay will bear the cards credit and debit MasterCard and Visa platforms of the major British financial institutions. The list of banks are part names like Bank of Scotland, First Direct, Halifax, HSBC, Lloyds Bank, M & S Bank, MBNA and Nationwide Building Society. The list has expanded in the last few days.

Shopping

Users can pay for their purchases and services with Android Pay in any commercial establishment accepted payments without contact (contactless technology). For example it will be possible to pay a subway ride with the phone, or buses and trains using the London transport network (TfL). From the list of known retail chains are still part of the Aldi supermarkets, the network of petrol stations of BP fuels, Costa and Starbucks and fastfood network KFC Kentucky Fried Chicken.
