The world of Android smartphones can often be chaotic and disorganized, but this year it seems that the month of April was chosen to be the time when the most anticipated devices running the operating system will be released.
Less than six months after the release of Android Marshmallow, all hardware manufacturers are ready to deliver a series of smartphones built around the latest version of the system. The year has started with the Xiaomi Mi 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S7, but it’s next month most of the revelations.
In the first week, on April 6, Huawei will launch P9 with its dual camera system and Meizu present M3 noted. A week later, HTC is planning to reveal the HTC 10 and Oppo will bring to market the R9 and R9 Plus.
In addition to the release of Marshmallow, another factor that influenced was the launch of the new Qualcomm chip Snapdragon 820. With this, the manufacturers get to market the most current devices possible.
In the last three years, Google released the latest version of its operating system in October to stay close to Apple’s releases, which usually reveals the new iPhone in September. Whereas businesses take a few months to integrate the system its platforms, it’s likely that in the future releases are this time if Google keep the calendar.
The standard Android release makes it difficult for companies to launch flagship devices in time for the holiday shopping period, which happens with the iPhone. On the other hand, they get a separate period in the first half of the year. Apple itself is betting this time for new releases. Last week the company introduced the iPhone SE.
