As we reported last week, the first official application from Nintendo, Miitomo, made his long-awaited debut in Japan’s app stores yesterday. The new title is a tool that combines communication and social media with the already traditional Nintendo avatars, Miis.
Each user can create and customize their own avatars, giving them unique characteristics that make it recognizable by you and your friends. Through these miis you can interact with your contacts in a different virtual space and fun. In addition to the social plan, the app also features a small quiz about your Mii, and to engage in this type of interaction you can earn points that can be redeemed for discounts on things in the Nintendo store and even within the application itself, with new clothes and accessories for your Mii.
Since last year the Japanese giant in the world of video games has promised it will release new titles for mobile phones. Although at least four “games” are expected by the end of the year, we know that the company would have a huge success simply cast some of his classics modified to run on mobile devices. Imagine being able to play Zelda or Super Mario World from the comfort of your smartphone? The company is sitting on a gold mine, but we do not know if they decide further exploit it.
For those who are eager to test the brand new Miitomo, we can only ask you to wait a little longer, after all company has promised that its first app come to the world before the end of the month, at least for Android and iPhone users.
