Google surprises with an early preview of the new Android N – Shifter

No one expected that Google will today present its new Android No Like Apple, the company launches a new version of its operating system every year and normally presented to the developers before the summer, before distributing the consumers in October.

For Android N, the successor to the Android M (what came to be called Marshmallow), Google broke all the rules. The company wants feedback from developers from today that the new version of Android is released this summer. Until then, 5 Android previews will be available N. The first preview will be released that same Wednesday for all the people who enroll in Android Beta program, a new testing program, and have a Nexus device.

the previews Android N will be distributed through a software update and will be compatible with the Nexus 6, Nexus 5X the Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Nexus 9 and also with Pixel C.

Now, what’s new in future version of Android?

Android N is still in its early days, and new features will be revealed in the coming months. For now, we know that the new version will enable reply to messages directly in the notification . This is, like iOS, you can write what you have to want and click send all notification and without closing the app that had opened.

also like iOS, Android N will support two apps to run side by side on the screen. This is especially useful on tablets like the Nexus 9 or Pixel 9, but also on mobile phones like the Nexus 6 whose screen is large enough for any multi-tasking.

in addition, Android N also allow video windows over apps, so we can continue to see YouTube as we navigate the Twitter or Chrome, for example.

Android N also includes battery-saving features and memory management, so that the performance and durability of the equipment is extended as much as possible. This is a work that Google has done in previous versions of Android, like Lollipop and Marshmallow.

While Google does not say what the “N” means (Nutella?), You can find out more about the Android N on the official website for developers.
