After several weeks providing beta updates Marshmallow, Sony finally begins to release the update officially to the models Xperia Z5 Z5 Z5 Premium and Compact. The novelty is arriving in Turkey, but it should not take to be released in other regions. Sony usually has a faster release schedule than other companies when it begins to update its Xperia line to a new version of Android.
What can we expect in this update? In previous editions, the manufacturer approached more radical changes, which ultimately compromising system stability, generating various problems of slowness in members of the Xperia line – even with cutting-edge hardware. Sony learned that less is more and is betting on something closer to what is done by Motorola (keep Android “almost pure”, but delivering some differences). However, Sony maintained its launcher before, just by making improvements so that it delivers a higher-speed operation and response to user commands. With this, the same resources as before are still available.
Sony claims that the Stamina mode got better with integration to Twelve Marshmallow, being able to extend the battery life in the series Xperia Z5 up to 400%. This is possible because when the screen is off, applications are not synchronized, and data traffic is cut. Users will receive phone calls, SMS and MMS messages, and notifications. The alarm will continue to function normally, and the native calendar application also fails to be bothered by Stamina, but the LED only flashes to inform you when the battery is running low.
Yesterday Sony has confirmed that the Xperia M4 Aqua will also be upgraded to the Marshmallow also the beta program of the new Android interface Sony had targeted smartphones Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact. Ie, they must be next in line to share in the new company. Let’s hope that still arrive this month.
