Performance Verdict: ZTE SPro 2
When Vodafone announced it would launch this product in the domestic market was immediately interested, as imagined myself with a gadget with a built-in screen and also allow project the image, a different concept of what Lenovo has done, which has tablets with built-in projector.
Vodafone has already sold the equipment and had the opportunity to try the gadget and watch some football games through the pay channels of sports. It’s an interesting idea and still alia that it can turn off the projector and continue to see the contents on the screen 5-inch built-in device. However, there is the price that will make many people turn away from equipment, € 589.90 in the online store.
Features
In terms of specifications only lack support for SIM card as there is in other countries. It is this concept of portability with content viewing makes more sense if we have a full portability and not being dependent on a wifi connection.
In terms of accessories come with an HDMI cable, the cable to charge the battery and a small bag for the projector. To highlight the bag, since despite being portable, is not light and put it in a bag can make you scratch if it is not well protected.
Design
With a simple design and metallic finishes, this projector ZTE not It stands out by design. The big difference is the features it offers, with a five-inch built-in screen on the top and Android that allows, in addition to project the image onto a wall, see also the device itself.
On the up we have the screen with three capacitive buttons and a button to turn on the device. The sides have the speakers, the volume buttons, the projection LED, the magazine for MicroSD, HDMI, USB 3.0, and a 3.5mm jack for headphones. Also to charge the device, plug itself is required, which could have been done differently, since it forces us to we transport over a charger with us when they could have chosen a microUSB.
at the bottom also found support for the tripod and a height adjustment that allows you to place the projector on a base and tilt it up.
as the LG Minibeam Nano, this projector is portable and with a battery, which allows us to take our video transmission for any side. To carry, also comes with a close-fitting cover, which only fits the projector. Here, you could have some more compartment, since despite having a battery that lasts more than two hours, the charger always fouls.
Performance
The projector itself is well done and quite functional. With the Snapdragon 800, we have a good performance, because it was the high-end processor for a couple of years ago, soon enough competent for what you want.
Beginning in the projection, it fulfills expected, a good projection quality, which increases the size of the projected image up to 300 inches! It’s complicated someone using maximum bid, but the simple fact that we can increase the size they desire in maintaining quality is a positive point of this machine.
As you would expect, to enjoy better performance we must have an environment with low light, since the same can not great performances if we have too much light. So, expect a reasonable performance in an environment indoors, even if you have the blinds open. Note that autofocus is fast, and if you need to remove the projector, in a few seconds the projector correctly focuses the image.
But this projector offers us otherwise the screen. Thus, with the screen can control the entire projector, as if it were a tablet. If the idea is not projecting the image, this device has Android 4.4, which lets you enjoy almost the same way as if it were a tablet. In fact, it uses its own interface for video viewing, and it was on this basis that we tested the product.
We install the application from Vodafone and use Netflix, and through the Google Play could either use the screen to see a number, as the following project it on the wall and “share” more easily with friends. The problem? Well, it’s the same as a projector of this size, since the sound can not be transmitted very high, which is important when we want to see a movie. But for this we can use a headset or else a speaker, which can be connected via the jack or Bluetooth.
The battery performance is good, because I got to see a football game, with little less than two hours without any problem and still got battery to see a few more things. Too bad really can not be loaded by microUSB, which would charge the device with an external battery
Verdict:. ZTE SPro 2
The ZTE SPro 2 sold by Vodafone has a very interesting concept, as it allows portability and view the device video content we want. I’m only sorry that in Portugal have not released the version with SIM card support, as there is in other countries, since, in my opinion, this support makes more sense, especially being marketed by an operator.
picture an increase to a 300-inch size, a good battery performance and Android with Google Play to support, you can imagine what you can do on this device. However, it should be microUSB for charging, instead of a separate plug. Another downside is the price, since it makes this limited and very specific equipment for some people. It is to give € 589, should not be just for fun from time to time
Points to Favor:.
- People
- Android with Google Play
- Good battery performance
- Projection up to 300 inches image
Points Against:
- Price
- Lack support YES
- own charging plug
