It is possible to upgrade the Galaxy S5 for Android 6 Marshmallow … – Tudocelular.com

Samsung finally started the update process of the main provisions of the Galaxy line for the new Android 6 Marshmallow. Of course, the process is done slowly and some users will have to wait a little longer, as is the case of those who are still with the Galaxy S5. But the more anxious may already have the new version of the green little robot system due to leakage of an official ROM.

In December 2015 a Galaxy S5 user received, probably by mistake from Samsung, an update OTA with Android 6. And it was precisely thanks to this kind of leak that independent developers have managed to build a zip file so that all concerned can enjoy the news in Marshmallow version.

How could it be otherwise, is at XDA forum that will see the files and essential information for manual installation the official ROM Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F). The MMB29M.G900FXXU1CPB2 base package with kernel version 3.4.0-7182592, bears the date of 05 February.

At this point we warn you that you must have root access and a Custom Recovery installed properly on the device, as well that the user is liable for any damage, as with any alternative solution. Below you can see a video tutorial and step by step with links
