intelligent wheel bike and Android only works with fingerprint – Digital Look

Neither bike escapes the process “smartização” (newly invented word). During the MWC 2016 was presented to Le Super Bike, made by Leeco company, which Android runs and basically have a smartphone inside, offering functions that are normally found in connected cars.

In the middle of the handlebar there is a 4-inch screen which is basically an Android phone with a customization that calls Leeco BikeOS, supported by a 1.3 GHz processor and 4 GB of RAM. It shows details about speed, navigation and information on exercises using the various sensors. In addition, the device also doubles as a music player with built-in speakers so you can annoy people around. Finally, the device also works as a telephone through a 4G connection.

the smart-bike also includes a fingerprint reader, which unlocks the small screen, but it also serves to lock the bike itself, preventing a thief simply quit pedaling with her. This system is powered by a battery, but there is also a dynamo that harnesses the energy generated by the turning of the bicycle wheel as you pedal.

The bike has a carbon fiber and titanium frame, and also shoots lasers. Yes, lasers, but they serve mainly for lighting and safety of the rider. They turn on automatically when the bike’s headlights are on. This is also done automatically at night or in a dark place automatically, thanks to light sensors.

Lasers design lines parallel to the floor on both sides of the bicycle, within about 60cm of the pedals. They serve to indicate a minimum safe distance that drivers are able to overtake without putting the rider at risk. It is worth noting that the orientation in Brazil is to a distance of at least 1.5 meters at the time of passing.

The bike is already on sale in China for an amount of approximately R $ 3.2 billion but the company thinks to bring the model to the West this year, at least for the United States.
