In a lecture delivered at the University of Delhi, India, Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, mentioned that the company thinks to hold a poll to choose the name of the next version of Android, its operating system for mobile devices.

The issue arose when one of the participants of the lecture Pichai asked why the company did not use Indian sweets to name the versions of Android. Pichai said then he thought of doing a survey when the time came to name the next Android and that if all Indians vote for her, it would be possible.

The time in question can be seen at around 47 : 14 the video below (which shows the lecture Pichai):

From the Android 4.3 (also known as “Jelly Bean”), Google has used candy names to name versions operating system. The names also follow in alphabetical order: after Jelly Bean (jujube), came the Kit Kat; then came the Lollipop (lollipop); the latest Android called Marshmallow

One would therefore expect that the next version of the operating system receives the name of a candy that start with the letter N.
