Android 6.0 comes to Marshmallow BQ Aquaris A4.5 after Christmas – Portal Technology

The first Android One in Portugal, the BQ Aquaris A4.5 already analyzed, already has a date to receive the upgrade to the latest version of Android, on the 28th of December.

The Spanish HRC is the first European manufacturer to partner with Google to launch a smartphone Android One. For those who do not know what is Android One, is an ecosystem created by Google that allows manufacturers to manufacture smartphones with specific characteristics, but the software and the respective updates remain in charge of Google, what to whom likes to have the latest updates, is an added advantage.

Now the new BQ Aquaris A4.5 should be one of the first smartphones to receive the update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but it surprises us that LG has upgraded from G4 first that Android One

The BQ announces that it has released the Betatester program in Spain, and the published schedule is as follows:.

  • December 7: FW beta launch;
  • December 14: Correction of errors detected in Beta phase;
  • December 21: BQ held last validations (CTS / GSM) and sends results to Google
  • December 23: Google tests and validates FW;
  • 28 December:. Google launches the update OTA to all Aquaris A4.5 units

The Aquaris A4.5 has a 4.5 inch screen with resolution 960x540p, Mediatek MT5735M quad-core processor at 1GHz, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, 8MP camera and 5MP (both flash), battery 2470 mAh, Dual-SIM, microSD up to 64GB and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop
