Facebook Screenshot items also available for … – SAPO Tek

The Instant Pages feature, which lets you view up to eight times faster news posted on Facebook, will be available to all users of the Android operating system. The news comes more than half a year after being handy for those using an iPhone or iPad.

Through a partnership with various media from around the world, Facebook lodges and slightly rearranges the news content that are faster to load. And the user instead of being ‘pushed’ to an external Web page, see the news within the social network.

In Portugal the Journal-News was the first partner Portuguese Articles snapshots and announced the news in late November.

When you are browsing Facebook through mobile apps can identify articles snapshots with the symbol of a lightning bolt at the top right of publication.

According to The Verge, the number of partners around the world for this initiative already exceeds the 350 publications which are included names like The New York Times, National Geographic, BuzzFeed, NBC News, The Atlantic, The Guardian, BBC News, Spiegel Online, Bild and The Washington Post.
