[Sony Xperia U Android 5.0 already proves the Lollipop thanks to AOSP] – Xpert Mobile

Even in 2013, while the world was enjoying the success of the Harlem Shake, Sony was announcing its Xperia U, a mid-range smartphone that has not had as much attention as dance Baauer, but that appeared to very positive way. The device has a humble Snapdragon S4 Processor Plus, 1GB of RAM and a 4.3 inch screen, ie anything that was being stamped on the first leaves, but it was enough for whoever was looking for a good player in the segment.

The Xperia U was unofficially bestowed on any version of Android Jelly Bean higher than 4.2.2 so far, but things are about to change in a way. Yes, not very famous handset from Sony will have their chance to prove the taste of the newest Android update since a build is now available for the model. It was created by XDA Developers, who posted one AOSP version of the OS for the Xperia L.

Sure to be a build, it differs in some respects from the Android Lollipop 5.0 official, and still be a new build has some problems and flaws. Thus, it is not yet possible to consider it stable enough to be used in daily life that these users have basic functions like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS are still not working right, but no doubt these problems and failures will be corrected gradually with time.

Thus, the Xperia U becomes one of the devices that are not top notch, old releases that exceeded the most popular in receiving the Android Lollipop, even if a unofficial version. We have shown here how some users are already using these builds while the version of Google is not available yet. If you own an Xperia U and want to give a little taste of the Lollipop to your phone, just visit the links (1) (2).
