Galaxy S4 and S5 receive Android 5.0 unofficial Lollipop based … – Tudocelular.com

Say what you will about the main line of smartphones Samsung , but we all know they are extremely popular and sell millions in every generation. Galaxy S4 and S5 Galaxy, released this year, did not differ in history and you will find these devices in many stores (and pockets) of the world, which is completely understandable. As two models that have much relevance in the market, it is also natural that developers look with more affection and support these platforms, which turns out to be a great thing for anyone who owns the models.

Now, the that have the S4 and S5 may already be a little happier because the folks at XDA Developers managed to bring Unofficial version, but based on AOSP , Android 5.0 Lollipop . The version is also compatible with some variants of the Galaxy S5 ( SM-G900i , SM-G0900F and SM-G900M ) and a version with Qualcomm S4 processor ( GT-I9505 ).

Remember again that these are no firmwares are unofficial and are based on the AOSP in an alpha version of CyanogenMod 12 . Naturally, they bring a good amount of bugs and a lot of other key features that may not work until the time this article is written. A version for the S5 is the most stable among all, but not even camera or NFC are working .

But the Galaxy S4 is the suffering that comes with the update not enough officer. Currently, this is what is not working : external storage, GPS, IR Blaster, NFC, RIL and sound – some users claim that the flaws become more present with daily failures at compile

We have seen previously, a comparison video of Lollipop running in S4 and S5, and we realized that the similarities between both versions are more similar than expected, not giving much emphasis on one instrument and blurring the other – which turns out to be something very good for Samsung and for users
