The device will hit stores in the first quarter of next year. For now, the date of sale is valid only for China, although the sale is also planned in other markets. In that country the N1 will have a suggested retail price (before taxes) of $ 249.

The Nokia emphasizes that the product makes a bet on a careful design and simplicity. “We are pleased to be able to carry the Nokia brand to consumers again with the Android tablet N1, helping to create simple and sophisticated technologies” said Sebastian Nystrom, product manager at Nokia Technologies, in a statement.

The Nokia unit phones sold to Microsoft in September last year in a deal that allowed the owner to use the Windows Phone brand, what happened up there about a month. The first Nokia Lumia without brand was introduced last November 11.
