Super Mario Run is also coming to Android, confirms … – Tudocelular.com

Apple began the launch event of the new iPhones with a nice surprise for fans of Nintendo, the announcement of Super Mario Run for iOS. The game follows the endless race principle, something already tiredly exploited for mobile games, but that brings all the franchise environment with the mustachioed plumber protagonist. The novelty will be available later in the year on the App Store, but in an interview with Kotaku, Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of the acclaimed franchise, has confirmed that the game will also be released for Android.

He did not get to comment when we will see the new game from Nintendo giving the guys in the Play Store, where only replied vaguely that the novelty will arrive soon. It was also unclear whether the game will initially be exclusive to iOS, coming to Android only in 2017, as the launch for iOS only happens at the end of the year, close to the festive days.

Check out a video showing Super Mario Run gameplay on iOS:

Nintendo always struggled to avoid taking his acclaimed franchises to smartphones, but on the great success of Pokémon Go through the hands of Niantic, the Japanese giant must have rethought about the possibility to expand their titles into the mobile gaming market as well. Now only remains to know if the company will also take other franchises or Super Mario Run will be only an initial test to measure the reception of the players. Anyway, let’s hope that the game does not take to arrive on Android as well.

Do you think Nintendo should invest in more game franchises for smartphones?
