After successive attempts to create more than one application for successful communication such as Google Talk and Hangouts, the tech giant bet now on Google Allo as a way of fighting applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram and Messenger.
Although it has not yet been released in Portugal, it can already test this new app on your Android.
During the Google I/O by 2016, in May of this year, the american giant has announced two new applications of communication: The Allo, and the Duo. While the Duo was released in the month of August to compete with Skype, it was expected that Google will launch the Allo this month. During the day yesterday, Google announced the launch of this app for a few countries, while the rest, like Portugal, need to see the app made available in the next few days, and it is already possible to do pre-registration through the PlayStore.
For those who still don’t know, the Allo is a messaging application for smart, available for Android and iOS, developed with the aim to offer a conversation a lot more productive, helping the user to have access to various information.
One of the main features of this application, and what makes it the smart, is the integration of the Google Assistant, a bot that will enter in the conversation and provide him with information, translations, possibility of scheduling alarms and reminders, running games, etc.
During a conversation, if you want to enable the Google Assistant, it is only necessary to write @google followed by what we intend to do, and some limited actions to the conversation with the wizard itself, at least for now.
among the new functions of this application include the following:
intelligent Answers – With this function, it will save you a lot of time to write your answers. With learning over time, the Allo will recognizing our answer mode and will suggests some of the answers to the photos and texts that are sent automatically.
Google Assistant – With this "intelligent robot" it is possible to access various types of information, research, marking events on the calendar, playing games, finding restaurants and places of interest nearby or any other type of suggestions. In the background, works as a personal assistant, in the style of Google Now or Siri, that will helping in the tasks that are required.
incognito – In Allo, all communications are encrypted using technologies such as TLS. Mode incognito, is still used encryption end-to-end, and a mode notifications-discrete.
Stickers, photos and other options – During the conversations with other users, it is possible to send some stickers, created exclusively for this application, share the location, increase or decrease the font size of the text or draw on the photos that we want to send, personalizing them to our taste.
The functions of intelligent response and Google Assistant are not yet available in Portuguese, having been the promise of Google to provide this language already in the next few days, releasing the full potential of this application for our country.

we Already have tested the Google Allo and can assure you that this is one of the apps messaging more advanced level of functionality, combining the best of a personal assistant to a messaging application quite complete. There are still some points to be improved but, for sure, that Google will fine-tune this application in the next update.
The bet is Google made and is strong and innovative, promising some functions are quite interesting. All that remains now is to wait to know what will be the acceptance of users to see if this Google Allo will be the success that the american brand are looking for or if it will be just the other Hangouts.
