Certainly it has already happened to be in Linux and remember-if you want a particular application but this is not available for Linux systems. With the Wine has the problem is resolved since this emulator allows you to run in a Linux environment, software specifically designed for Microsoft Windows.
But, soon, the Wine will arrive with support for Android!
Since there is a lot that speaks in support of the Wine within the mobile operating system most used in the world, Android. Currently the Wine allows you to run apps in Windows inside of Linux and Mac but will soon be also possible to run these apps within the Android.
Initially the support will be available for Chromebooks, but you can reach to smartphones.
Crossover on a ChromeBook Intel
With the release of the Wine 2.0, which will take place between December and January, this emulator win support for DirectX 11 which means that the user will be able to run newer games, designed for Windows only systems, Apple and Linux. However still will not be in this version that there will be official support for Android. There is however here is a Preview version of the Crossover, for those who want to experience and that already allows you to run apps in Windows on a Chrmebook.
The Crossover is one of the software’s most amazing that there is a time that allows you to "take" the applications from the windows world to the other platforms, without the need of license. Although not very popular (surely because of the price and cost of support), the users end up choosing by the wine which is available for free. The Crossover is based on Wine but has a nicer interface user friendly and better support for emulation of applications".
