Until recently, the programming of Android applications was strongly subordinate to the Java language, having as main interfaces development in Android Studio and Eclipse.

In the days of today, and with the benefit of the popularity of Visual Studio and that C# has become one of the most used languages, Microsoft offers a tool innovative, modern and powerful – the Xamarin. This makes it possible for developers of C# to create applications for Android with the same ease with which develop applications for the Windows operating system.

This book is especially indicated for those who already have knowledge of C# language, and you want to take the first steps in the development of mobile applications specifically targeting the Android platform.

The structure of the teaching of the book and the practical component, with numerous exercises, solved and proposed six projects fully resolved, not only facilitate the learning for people at the start of the new discoveries in the universe of mobile computing (students or self-taught), as well as make this work an excellent the pedagogical guide for teachers and trainers.

This book provides the correspondence of the commands and of the main technical terms for the Portuguese of Brazil, and the matter that comes is compatible with the Visual Studio 2015 and 2017.
