The different versions of Android are in use in a range of smartphones across the planet. Hardly will one day be a convergence, leading to a fragmentation across the board.
A proof of this scatter is the version of Nougat Android. Released just over 2 months, only now appears in the statistics of use of Android.
Google releases monthly statistics of usage of its mobile operating system, to make known to the developers and to all of which versions are used the most, and those that are declining.
The most recent values do not show a big difference compared to September, but bring a novelty. The Android Nougat has finally expression to appear on this list, she’s already 0.3% of the share.
The winner of the growth in Android is delivered to the version of Marshmallow, which is already on 1 in 4 devices, more than one to after it has been released. Version 5.1 Lollipop can also be a slight increase, when you would expect it to lose ground.

In general it is the version of Lollipop (which combines the versions 5.0 and 5.1) that has mastered the use of the Android. This version still has the responsibility for a share of more than 34%, but was losing it already ground. Curious are the values that the Android 4.4 still has. This is the most used version with 25.2%.
All the other versions are on the decline, with values almost marginal, and that soon they will take away from this list. Examples are the version Froyo, Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich, which are values close to 1%, or even less.
Now that the Android Nougat is finally in the list of Android versions that are used shall grow. This growth will be slow and will depend on the manufacturers, not yet, in most of the processes of provision of this release to their equipment. This is an old problem and that’s hardly the Google some day you’ll be able to resolve.
