According to the website Road to VR, the latest version of Chrome Beta for Android includes features that will allow users to surf the web in virtual reality mode. This is only possible because the beta of Chome now has WebVR capabilities that provide a more immersive experience when navigating in designed websites to virtual reality.

According to an employee of Google, Chrome Beta now has a ‘VR shell “that will allow users Cardboard and future platform Daydream to browse the internet with their devices.

Despite this “VR shell” is not yet fully functional will be only a matter of time until these functionality are part versions stable of the Google browser. Today, when we are in the middle of an experiment in VR and come across as a site that is not prepared to VR, we have no choice but to remove the smartphone VR device to continue. What Google wants is precisely to stop this embarrassment making it not necessary to stop the virtual reality experience, since this “VR shell” able to accommodate sites that are not prepared for VR.

other companies such as Samsung already developed its own browser optimized for virtual reality in their Gear VR devices but in this particular case, the devices only work with the brand smartphones. With the arrival of WebVR capabilities to Chrome, the experience of surfing the Internet in VR mode is available for all Android devices.
