Android Nougat is the ransomware proof – Pplware

Google has sought to ensure security for Android and the latest version, Android Nougat, is no exception. If many new features are already implemented, another has been discovered that provides protection against ransomware. You can no longer change the Android password with a simple command.

Unlike computers, ransomware has a different way of functioning on mobile devices. Instead of encrypting the files, attackers simply change the unlock password of the device, thus leaving them unable users to access their data until they pay the required value.

To accomplish this change of password many sometimes just the infected application to a command within the Android, something that is too simple.

But Google wants to end this behavior and so on nougat changed the system behavior to prevent this process. Only through the interface manually, you can make the change screen lock password.
