for some of us, Android and Apple’s iOS are the only two existing operating systems. But in all there are still four major platforms: Android, iOS, Windows 10 Mobile and Blackberry 10 OS. The latter being the least known of all.
Going back a few years ago, the Blackberry RIM or better at the time was the largest smartphone manufacturers. With the emergence of the iPhone and Android and also lack of adaptation to the common market of users, since the Backberry were used mostly for business and professional aspects, Blackberry started to lose the race.
recent years have been a great uncertainty about the future of the company and its smartphones. The vast majority of users began to migrate to other platforms started to offer the same and the best and most modern equipment, keeping almost until now only its staunchest fans.
But it was in 2015 Blackberry started to change its strategy and introduced its first device with Android. The Blackberry Priv. A device equipped with a screen 5.4 “440 x 2560 (540 ppi) AMOLED, Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB storage memory and camera 18-megapixel and upgradable to Android Marshmallow.
Despite of the features are interesting, what is striking is that the Blackberry has managed to keep his signature with a well your style keyboard and became well known at the time. The Priv keyboard is in the form of slip, i.e., the screen slides to the rear of the equipment when not want to use and slides down even when we need it.
and for the Android OS having Blackberry manufacturer can only bring advantages, as this company was also known by the security and privacy systems that always applied to their smartphones.
But unfortunately, the Priv did not give the boost that the company expected sales.
was this the problem of Priv? what was once one of its most valuable, the keyboard has now been what pushed the users
currently very few people using smartphones with keyboard.
Or was it the fact that security and privacy is not after so much importance as you think?
On the other hand, we hope this have not only been the first and only Android smartphone BlackBerry.
what you guys think? The Blackberry will succeed in betting on Android in its equipment
