Raspberry Pi 3 can gain official support for Android soon – Techworld

New code repository connected to the open-source Android version indicates possible release

You can find the Android on smartphones, tablets, a similar hybrid with Microsoft Surface and even laptops. But it seems that Google will add another interesting device to the list:. The mini PC Raspberry Pi 3, which costs only $ 35 in the US

About a month, a repository code for Pi 3 appeared in the code of the site based on Git to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), Google, as published by the specialized website Android Police.

AOSP is the open source version of Android that does not bring touches focused on Google, such as Gmail and Google Play type apps – coming to Android smartphones. Many alternative designs to Android baseam its work on AOSP, including Amazon Fire apparatus and Cyanogen OS.

Google still needs to add some real code to this new repository Pi 3 and are already five weeks since its inception. Anyway, we can assume that this code will appear some day.

Whatever the reason, an official version of Android for the Raspberry Pi 3 must be received with enthusiasm. That’s because the fans of the mini-PC are already installing images based on Android on their devices.

However, they are not clear what Google’s plans for Android and for Pi.
