Google now offers translation in all applications … – SAPO Tek

Google’s translation application has just won a new and practical functionality. Now, every time you need to translate text on your Android smartphone, you no longer have to “copy the text, change application, paste and translate”.

To expedite this process, Google has created a kind of floating widget that appears in any application, in the style of Messenger conversation windows. So, to translate, shall suffice select text and click the widget to get the translation. At this new feature, which started coming to Android on the morning of Wednesday, Google called Tap to Translate.

This new option will also allow text translations written directly in the pop-up application window , which in practice can facilitate the response to a comment on YouTube, for example.

Google says that this feature can be used within any application provided that text to be selected. Although this is the translation software most used daily, the company is not the first to provide an update of this type.

In April, Microsoft had added the same functionality. Although he had integrated into applications differently, operating logic also includes the selection of text, however, the Microsoft version, if you want to translate, you must open the options menu where traditionally appear the options of copy and paste.

Another convenient particularities of the Google Translate application functionality is also working offline.

Google Translate did 10 years recently and is available for 90 different languages. The app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play store.
