Google released the second preview of Android N last week. The news came with new emoji, graphics for improvement with use of API Vulkan and also shortcuts on the home screen similar to that used by Apple on the iPhone. there is a certain date when we will see the final version yet to be released, but such information should be given by the company during the Google I / O that takes place in May.
The most interesting part is that developers found a stretch of the N Android development code where Google lets the idea that would have plans to release this version of the system to other manufacturers. Currently, only the Nexus line had prior access to the Android N. Now, Sony comes with good news and reports that the Xperia Z3 is the first smartphone out of the Nexus line to feature the Android 7.0 beta.
the new version of the system follows the same lines Marshmallow. Those who are part of the Xperia Concept, the Japanese manufacturer initiative to show how will the next version of the Android interface, can test the Android N and know what Sony is preparing for the final release in the coming months.
If you has variants D6603 or D6653 may have the Android N now in your Xperia Z3. To do this follow the steps below:
- Download the 1124 version of the Xperia Companion and install on your PC
- Connect the Xperia Z3 to your PC via a USB cable
- With the Xperia application Companion open hold the ALT key and click Repair software ‘on the home screen
- The application will ask you to disconnect the phone, disconnect it and then reconnect while holding the volume button less
- The preview Android N will be installed on your smartphone
- If you want to return to the factory software, simply connect the Z3 in Xperia Companion and click ‘Repair software’ following the same steps
Remember that the software is still in development stage. With that in mind, it may present problems that prevent you from using the Xperia Z3 on a daily basis. Also at this time, Sony did not make any changes to the interface. What you have is basically the same Android N available in the Nexus line. But that could change with future updates until the arrival of the final software.
