Shortcuts, 3D and emoji mark new version of Android N – SAPO Tek

In addition to the usual bug fixes, Android N joined the new API Vulkan to play back 3D content with consuming fewer resources.

It also brings the possibility of having shortcuts that will run some actions in native apps or third parties, with preset commands. An example might be a direct link that opens an email window to send a new message or open Google Maps for certain address.

Another of the most commented news is the availability of new emoji, with support Unicode 9, the latest version of the international standard for emoji and underlines Google, will have a much more human aspect thanks to the new design, which also includes different skin tones.

it also there are new “dolls”, representing the popular selfies, the police, the disco dance or cycling, among others.

the second beta of Android N is now available for registered users. The first had been available for about a month. The release of the final version of the future mobile operating system still has no set date, but it should only take place from the second half of the year.
