For some time rumors began to emerge indicating that the BlackBerry was preparing a new smartphone with Android. Until recently it published an Video supposed to Venice , but that was disputed. The Brazilian Dudu youtuber Rock managed to get his hands on a BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition running Android 5.1 Lollipop . Although fully functional, it’s just a prototype. We the TudoCelular can confirm the accuracy of this leak.
Talking to Dudu, he informed us that according to their source, the BlackBerry does have plans to release an Android device, but probably will not be what we see this leak. The company would have preferred to make a new machine from scratch, would be the Venice, still coming this year. Supposedly there are plans to launch a Passport 2 with Android in the second quarter of 2016 if the market acceptance Venice is positive.

The Blackberry Passport Silver Edition was launched in early August with 4.5-inch screen (1440×1440) and Gorilla Glass 3, Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.2 GHz, Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory with microSD expansion via up to 128 GB. In addition, the device has a primary camera of 13 megapixels with ISO and 2-megapixel front. The battery is 3450 mAh.
