The growing number of smartphones equipped with the Android Lollipop was mainly, by devices that direct updated version of Jelly Bean, ie not passed through the KitKat.

The number is also due to mobile phone sales and new tablets that have come with the newest Android factory.

The graph shows growth in upgrading old appliances, since the percentage of devices running old Android Gingerbread is below 5%. The improvement, however, is still far from putting Google’s platform next to the iOS in terms of speed of delivery of new operating systems. After all, the iOS 8 reached about 60% of iPhones and iPads in the world only in launching first.
