Samsung confirms that first-generation Galaxy Tab’s not … – Tudocelular.com

The first generation Galaxy Tab S line was launched in June 2014 coming to market with Android 4.4.4 KitKat system. Early last year, Samsung started the process of upgrading to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and since then the models of this line were stuck to this version of the little robot. In July this year, there was a news that Samsung would bring the Marshmallow for their tablets, but now Samsung’s Netherlands denies that this will happen.

Through its Facebook page, Samsung Netherlands published on Sunday (21) models Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and S Galaxy Tab 10.5 will not receive Android Marshmallow as expected. Samsung came up doing some tests with this version of the system in both models, but it seems that some difficulties, often evolving process of approval may have finished with the hopes of seeing both models being updated.

It really is disappointing news, especially when the two models of the Galaxy Tab S have sufficient hardware to handle the Android Marshmallow. Both models feature the Exynos 5420 and 800 Snapdragon chipsets (depending on market). Not to mention that the Tab S has 3 GB of RAM, which gives less reason to apologize Samsung to deny the update on your device.

Remember that the news was given by one of the divisions of Samsung and not the overall company. Anyway, most likely such a decision should be taken in general by the company.
