The Brazilian Hugo Barra gave a controversial statement Tuesday, 28 while attending an event sponsored by the Wall Street Journal. Former vice-president of Google Android division and current vice president of Xiaomi, Barra said the iPhone 6 is “the most beautiful smartphone ever made.”
Barra said this when asked about the various criticism that the Chinese company has cornered the market which works by copying the design of its competitors. The moment was opportune for the question, after all, the main designer of Apple, Jony Ive talked about it at the same event.
“Our designers and engineers are inspired by great products, and frankly, in the world today, who is not? “said the Brazilian. “Aponde me a product in our industry that has completely unique design language,” he continued. “You can not find one.”
Barra also noted that Apple’s own, though others complain constantly of copies, is always catching borrowed ideas from competitors. As an example, he recalled the quick access to settings like Wi-Fi, that did not exist in iOS, only Android
