Without warning, Sony released the AOSP settings (Android Open Source Project) Android 6.0 Marshmallow and binary files for their latest devices Xperia line, which includes the Z3, Z3 comapct, Z2, Z4 and more Tablet models. The company also added the new Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact Open Source devices program, ensuring that developers can use open source versions of Android in the flagship.
The use of Open Source of Android versions on devices Sony is available for some devices that can run Android 6.0 ROMs Marshmallow, but you need to keep in mind that only a few selected models by the company are compatible with the program. Unfortunately, not all Sony Xperia line of devices will be upgraded to the new version of the system, which is exactly where the open source software company is appointed.
This means, however, that qualified developers can develop custom ROMs for some models of Sony Xperia line launched in 2014 and again this year, we are compatible with Qualcomm chips. This also means that you can possibly use a customized version of Android Marshmallow on your device, even if it is not on the supported models list.
One must keep in mind that this does not guarantee that your machine , whether previously released the dates listed in this article, become compatible with Android 6.0 Marshmallow “before” launch. Developers will have more freedom to work with the software, of course, but this does not mean that they have sufficient resources to bring unofficially updates to all phones from Sony.
