6 Marshmallow Android: Google will require the use of Twelve mode without … – Tudocelular.com

Google launched the new version of Android promising to greatly improve the battery life of mobile devices with the operating system of green little robot. The Twelve so is the company’s response to the cry of the users for a system that best manage the battery use. And the Mountain View giant is determined to ensure that this feature is present in most smartphones and tablets with Android 6 Marshmallow.

The document that Google sends to the partner manufacturers (Android 6.0 Compatibility Definition Document ) explicitly requires these OEMs use the Twelve so as to ensure that the battery is further exploited and the system can provide the best possible autonomy.

The idea the new mode is the management of applications in the background , especially when the device enters standby mode, so they do not consume resources unnecessarily. Below we read the passage of the document in which it makes demands on the Twelve so.

8.3. Power Saving Modes –

All applications exempted from Standby or Twelve HAVE ways to be visible to the end user. In addition, inclusion, maintenance, activation algorithms and using global system settings of these power saving modes SHOULD NOT change what’s on the Android Open Source Project.

As we see above, the idea is that Google’s work is not changed by partner manufacturers, even those who wish to improve the twelve way, this does not prevent from seeing additional applications promising to help in this task, as is the Case Greenify. And remember that the comparative carried out so far confirmed that the battery consumption in Nexus devices has dropped dramatically after upgrading to Android Marshmallow compared to Lollipop, at least when in stand-by mode.

While we do not see real revolutions in the development of batteries the new Google’s solution is very welcome. And you, already with the new version of Android? Noted improvements in autonomy?
