The Federal Antimonopoly Service considered Russian in September that Google put clauses in contracts that made it difficult for programmers from rival apps be able to compete. These clauses go through the obligation to include apps preinstalled on Android and the limitation of other apps installation.

“To restore competitiveness to the market, Google must sign contract addenda to the mobile device manufacturers within one month and exclude anti-competitive clauses that limit Apps installation and services from other developers, “explained the Russian authorities in a statement quoted by Cnet .

penalty for not abide by these guidelines, goes through fines up to 15% of Google’s 2014 revenues from the preinstalled apps for the Russian market.

The anti-trust authorities consider that Android should be just the operating system and features such as navigation, music, email or research should be user free choices and do not necessarily part of the Android experience. It is recalled that the European authorities are also investigating such complaints, although it has not yet taken any official position yet.
