Sony releases official video showing the new features of Android Lollipop – Tudocelular.com

Sony began to release Android 5.0.2 for Xperia Lollipop Z3 and Z3 Compact in Europe. Soon, the company launched an official video which shows all the news that were introduced in this version, revealing how the Japanese giant adopted the design Material and what features were maintained, removed or refurbished by the company. Check out the video below which focuses not only just the Z3 but also the Z3 Tablet Compact .

The applications were reformulated to adopt Google material design. The keyboard also lost the shading on each key and adopted a visual flat and clean. The same applies to graphics, such as icons and color palette adopted by Sony this time.

The video also shows how the notifications behave on the lock screen. There are some common effects found in Lollipop, but you can see some refinements made by Sony in this part of the system. Shortcuts to the dialer and camera were kept, where just pull them to the center of the screen to access each function individually. The notification screen follows with patterns close to Android AOSP , allowing the editing system shortcuts.

One of the great innovations of the Lollipop is the user manager. You can have more than one account added, can separate applications, wallpapers, ringtones, and more. This feature was removed by some manufacturers, such as Samsung, but Sony decided to keep it in the Xperia Z3. The guest mode is also there, so you can lend your smartphone quickly to someone else, without worrying about whether it will have access to your personal files.

With the KitKat and on, Google came hindering access to the microSD card, where multiple applications can not save any images, music or video on the external drive. However, Sony has corrected this problem and even improve this access to allow users to see can move applications and games to the microSD card and free up internal memory.

The update yet does not have a date to reach our market, but be aware of the news in an official way is something very interesting that Sony is doing.
