Google offers Android application in Auto Play Store – Tudocelular.com

In January 2014 the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Google announced the formation of Open Automotive Alliance , a group that included the technology giant and assemblers cars like Audi, General Motors, Hyundai, Honda and Nvidia, willing to create unified entertainment systems that combine sophistication and security in an Android-based platform.

In June of that year it was announced the Android Auto , operating system developed for cars and based on the Android platform. The system will offer on a screen in the car with systems and applications such as GPS navigation, music, SMS, telephone, and online surveys. Can be controlled by physical buttons or by a touchscreen system, in addition to voice control. The novelty will communicate with Android devices with system in version Lollipop 5.0 or higher , and will be connected to the car via a USB cable. The user will have access to the car system, which may indicate the car’s speed, control the sound system, and have access to available information, such as leveling, tire pressure and vehicle internal problems.

Today, Google released the Android app developers where they can incorporate services of your applications so that information is integrated into the Android Auto, making the center of our more intelligent cars. Initially, the Google application will allow users to obtain vehicle information and integrated services as can be seen below:

Navigation with Google Maps: free navigation routes and instructions for voice, real conditions and real-time traffic, points of interest, and more

Handsfree to use the phone: you can make calls and send messages using the command voice, without taking your hands off the steering wheel

Information and assistance: get details about weather, traffic, vehicle conditions, all being organized by cards in Google Now style

Bring your music: Listen to any song or playlist in your car with the sound connected to the vehicle system

Pioneer was the first close partnership with Google to bring Android Auto to the market with their new products AVIC-8100NEX , AVIC-7100NEX and AVH-4100NEX . In addition, the Mountain View giant also has contracts with several automakers that have models with Android Auto system later this year, including Acura, Audi, Bentley, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Jeep , Kia, Maserati, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Renault, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo.

The application can be found in the Play Store, but will be fairly useless if you do not have any of the Pioneer models cited above, installed in your car.
