An update of Skype for Android promises to use the power of multitasking system to enhance the experience for video calls on tablets. From now on, users can view the video conversation while using other apps in a floating window.

Microsoft’s goal is to provide a similar solution to the Snap View, a feature of Windows 8 that puts Skype video alongside other applications running at the same time. Skype for Android now shows the call format Picture In Picture.
Although the new feature is available only on tablets, smartphones Skype users on Android will see a notification asking for permission to activate the function. It is, however, a failure and has caused an apology from the development team at Microsoft.
version 4.5 of Skype, which is already available on Google Play also brings some improvements to exchange text messages and bug fixes for Nexus Samsung smartphones and 5, as well as other details related to the overall performance of the app.
