Hibernate applications: See how 'vent' your Android and ... - Globo.com

Greenify is a tool that allows you to put your applications into sleep mode on Android. Step 1. To be able to put apps in hibernation, you must perform root your Android. Follow this tutorial TechTudo, and learn how to perform this procedure;

Step 2. Access TechTudo Downloads and download the application Greenify;

Step 3. When running the app for the first time you need to grant root privileges to the program. In the displayed dialog, tap the “Allow” button;

Step 4. Greenify in the main screen will display a list of all installed apps. Select those that will be hibernated and then tap the confirmation icon (in the upper right corner of the screen);

It is important to note that applications icon “GCM” using Google Cloud Messaging service that sends information from servers to Android devices. With hibernation, the service stops working;

Step 5. Wait until the Greenify run the process. Soon after, you will see the list of all apps that were hibernated;

Step 6. If you want to remove any app from hibernation, mark the desired and tap the “Play” button (located on the bottom bar). If you want to choose new applications to be hibernated, tap the “+” button on the bottom bar.
