Failure Android lets vulnerable Bitcoin wallets - TeK.sapo

A flaw in the Android operating system endangers some applications for Bitcoin wallets. The vulnerability was discovered by a team of researchers linked to the team Bitcoin.org and updates to existing applications are already being worked on.

At issue is a tool in the operating system from Google that is responsible for generating security numbers random, but allegedly flawed security. Thus, all portfolios Bitcoin generated to date are at risk of being attacked and even being stolen.

The Bitcoin Wallet mobile software, BitcoinSpinner, Mycelium Wallet and blockchain.info already have or are prepare new versions of applications. All users who use these applications must update the apps as soon as possible. The software Coinbase and Mt Gox, as they do not generate the codes of portfolios from Android are free of “danger.”

Who uses the applications affected by the vulnerability should still generate a new address transfers and transfe r money the old wallet to the newest. Users should also communicate to your contacts list to change the address of the portfolio.

The news is being published in various blogs and forums so that no user harmed with this security flaw.
