Why Android devices take so long to be … – Tudocelular.com

Every time Google releases a new version of Android, people are euphoric and / or upset . Those users who know they will receive the new version, such as users of online Nexus , are eager and soon satiate your desire for frequent updates. Already those smartphone users with modified interface, are usually months waiting a simple upgrade. Sometimes nor receives.

If we compare with iOS (yes, the comparison is inevitable) we will see how stark the difference is between systems regarding the availability of updates. In the Apple system updates are generally made available to the vast majority of devices already in the first day . Obviously very old smartphones are not eligible, but the functional given almost immediately. To give you idea after 1 month of its launch, only 1.1% of Android users had installed the KitKat version of your gadgets. By contrast, 73% of Apple devices already had version 7 of iOS.

It is obvious that there is a serious problem regarding the distribution of Android. But that does not mean it is the fault of Google. Be much modified by the various manufacturers that work with the platform can make the changes you wish, and can enter applications and features that let your smartphone to your face. That may be cool, but when updates are released, must undergo numerous tests before being released. Result? takes , a lot of delay in releasing updates. Oh and do not forget the mobile operators. If you buy a smartphone linked to any of them, surely your update will take even more, since they must also give its approval.

This explains why the Nexus line receives updates almost immediately after its release. The gadgets used pure Android and have no relationship with operators. The Motorola Moto line of smartphones also benefit from its ‘pure’ version of Android.

Anyway, the owners of smartphones top line will always receive either update even with delays, however, the legal system does not run Android on smartphones and modified with unattractive hardware. Smartphones with 512MB of RAM and processor single core with the TouchWiz interface, probably not well would run the latest version of Android. That’s because each new version, improvements and developments are inserted happen, making the system even heavier. Sure, Google says the KitKat was designed to run well on smartphones weak, but when manufacturers make their tests is a different story. So hardly an inexpensive smartphone will receive this update. But wait, there’s always the possibility of installing a custom ROM.

But the outmoded system not only brings a sense of frustration; also carries risks to your handset. An outdated system may contain several security flaws, bugs and general incompatibility with various applications . With the freedom that Android gives users an outdated system for these customers is an even greater risk!

The major upgrades, such as the Jelly Bean for the KitKat, bring new features that help you to enjoy even more of the full potential of your gadget. Because not all be eligible to these major changes, many users never will enjoy the latest services if they continue with their old smartphones.
