Firefox 21 is released for desktop and Android receives update - Globo.com

Mozilla released on Tuesday (14) two major updates that will make Firefox more social. The first update was for desktops, who won more integration with other social networking services. The second is aimed at Android smartphones, offering improvements and interface changes.

desktop browser integration with other partners such as Facebook gained Cliz, Mixi and msnNOW. Moreover, an API provided by the social company allows other services follow suit these partners.

Facebook in Firefox 21 also received some new features like the ability to track failures and make recommendations for making improvements.

Firefox for Android was not out. The new version brings new sources of open source, better support HTML 5 and an improved interface for users. Media files open in the browser can now be saved with just a touch.

Desktop version will be officially available on Wednesday (15) for all versions of Windows, Mac and Linux. Already the update for Android can be found in the Google app store at no cost.
