Drive Google Android now recognizes handwriting in pictures ... - Globo.com

A recent update to Google’s Android Drive brought several new features to the application. In addition to getting a new design, the drive can now scan images and recognize written on them.

This feature allows the user to keep track of important documents and was designed considering items such as letters and receipts. To use, simply click the “Scan” button, which was added to the main menu. After scanning the document, the drive converts to a PDF file and, thanks to technology OCR (Optical Character Recognition), you can retrieve the file with a simple search.

The new layout includes viewing through the Cards system, which enables large display previews of files for easy location. Users can also download copies of files to devices directly from the actions menu.

system spreadsheet editing was also revitalized. Now you can edit the font size and type, and edit the colors and alignments of the cells, direct application. The drive has received support Cloud Ready Printer to print documents directly from the device.
