Having a new version of an operating system on our equipment is always good to because there are usually new features that users want to experience.
However, in the case of Android, especially Android 5.0.1, there is a problem that has been “haunting” many users. This problem is related to the management of RAM but Google does not recognize such a problem.
As already reported in several articles, Google launched a little hastily Android 5.0, and almost immediately released the Android 5.0.1 for some devices and even now there is the Android 5.0.2. How much is the speed of perfection the enemy times , according to many users, Android 5.0.1 has a major fault (and boring) with respect to RAM management.
According to several witnesses in the Android Open Source page Project – Issue Tracker, Android 5.0.1 can not do well the management of RAM memory, which takes a lot of the time there are excessive RAM consumption of around 1.3 GB (we devices where possible)
To compensate for such use, the operating system itself, abruptly removed some applications of RAM, thus gaining more resources.
Apparently such problem associated with Android 5.0.1 own memory manager that is not effective to release the RAM memory used by an application which has since been closed, whereupon a RAM memory “dead” without any use, loaded into the system. The list of complaints is already very extensive but so far there is no Google information on this case.
Currently, the only solution to this bug is to reboot the machine so that the RAM “dead “is released. Note that excessive memory usage causes, at some point, the user no longer able to manage “normally” machine
